What Exactly is a "Festival Nanny"?

What service am I offering?

I am a responsible longtime childcare worker and am offering childcare ​to aid parents who wish to attend festivals (or other events) with their ​children, but also want to be able to let loose and enjoy the festival like ​they may have done prior to having children.

Why is this service needed?

Having attended a handful of music festivals thus far, I have observed ​this dire need for childcare, to help give parents some relief, relaxation, ​and the ability to party without the need to also be responsible for their ​child(ren). Some parents leave their children behind and wish that they ​could attend the festival too, but cannot even imagine what that would ​look like - that's where I come in.

About Me

Hello, my name is Kelsey, and I am The Festival Nanny! I grew up in ​California, lived in Upstate New York for a few years to obtain my ​master’s degree (in early childhood special education), and now ​reside in the Bay Area. I have over 11 years of paid childcare ​experience in varying positions; I have been a preschool teacher and ​a nanny for all ages of children, including multiples, siblings, and ​children with special needs. Before earning my master’s degree ​from Syracuse University, I earned my bachelor’s degree in child ​development from California State University, Sacramento. I love ​working with children and watching their minds grow, while helping ​to facilitate their learning and love for life. I am also very musical ​and enjoy taking photos (especially of wiggly beings like pets and ​kiddos!) and helping others to pursue their passions. Being a festival ​nanny merges all of my passions and interests into one position, ​and I couldn’t be more excited to be embarking on this journey with ​fellow music lovers.
